Clubbie of the Month – January

Keira Laurie

Keira Laurie is this month’s clubbie of the month, for her commitment to lifeguarding and for the support she provides the younger members of our club.

Keira has been a lifeguard for 3 years, completing her Intermediate lifeguard award, Level 2 first aid and event guarding during this time. Keira always takes the time to welcome and mentor new lifeguards to her patrol, making sure they are supported and are enjoying the challenge of being a new lifeguard.

Keira regularly (and very happily) gives up her Sunday mornings to help at Junior surf. She has become a valued member of the Junior surf team. Keira has fantastic skills in teaching our juniors – getting the balance just right between motivating and challenging the juniors, while ensuring it’s a fun and safe environment for them to learn.
