Waimārama hosted the Central Regional Junior Competition on the 20th January. Over 14 clubs from around the Central Region participated with Waimārama Surf Life Saving Club coming 3rd over all. Particular highlights were great performances by all competitors especially from Jonty Lowe, Alex Finlayson, Neve Avery, Kate McLaren and Relay Teams. The day ended on a high with the Waimārama Relay Team winning the 2km beach relay regardless of the DQ!! Awesome day, huge thanks to all the helpers and supporters.
