CLUBBIE OF THE MONTH – APRIL

Ollie Wood

Ollie Wood is an absolutely outstanding member of Waimārama Surf Club. He embodies the club spirit and values. His caring personality and great jokes always create a great environment to be a part of.  He has taken on larger roles in the club this season and his skills from nursing have translated superbly onto the beach.  He’s a great bloke who always seeks to include others and support them to become better.  He would give you the shirt off his back in a heartbeat. That is why he is a special member of this club.  He has been at the forefront of battle as an IRB racing Crewman, sacrificing his body to keep the boat level as it smashes through massive surf.  He commits himself to countless hours of late nights and early mornings. Training to improve and become the best. Results from recent competitions are beginning to back that up. That is why Ollie is this month’s Clubbie of the Month.
